BIOGRAPHY: Gail is a warm-hearted, resilient woman whose life has been shaped by unanswered questions. Adopted as a newborn after her biological mother, Queenie, was forced to give her up in the 1950s, Gail grew up knowing she was adopted – her parents always believed in honesty – and carried a lifelong curiosity about where she came from.
Despite that lingering mystery, Gail built a life rooted in kindness. She married her childhood sweetheart, Pete, and together, after years of unsuccessful attempts, they finally welcomed a son, Will. Gail is also known in her community in Stafford for her generosity – she volunteers at the local Foodbank and a charity shop, offers help to her friends and neighbours before it’s asked for, and has a gift for making people feel welcome and seen.
Tragically, Pete died in 2020 during the Covid pandemic, leaving Gail completely grief-stricken. With her husband and adoptive parents now gone, Gail turned to Will to help her find her birth parents.
Now, after decades of wondering, Gail has finally found Queenie, and she is ready to start this new, exciting chapter of her life.
