BIOGRAPHY: Born and raised in London to a vicar and his wife, Jack has always felt like an outsider within his own Anglican family and kept his sexuality a secret during his teenage years. In his early twenties, he finally found the courage to come out to his parents. Unfortunately, it was a move that saw him despised and disowned for his “sinful choice of lifestyle”.
Everything changed in 2016 when Jack met Lee Atkins during London Pride. Normally one to avoid “the scene”, Jack had attended a pub event on a whim and instantly felt drawn to Lee. Though sceptical of love at first sight, he couldn’t deny the profound impact Lee had on his life from that moment onwards.
By 2017, with their relationship blossoming, Jack made a major career move, transferring from The Met to Kent Police as a senior sergeant and settling in Lee’s home village of Glendale. He purchased Bluebell Cottage, and Lee moved in later that year. Their life together flourished, culminating in an engagement in 2018 and a wedding in 2019.
However, in 2024, Jack’s world was rocked when he discovered that Lee had been having an affair with Tom Spencer, a married father of three. Devastated and enraged, Jack exposed the affair publicly, inadvertently outing Tom. The situation escalated to a tragic climax when Jack learnt that Tom had taken his own life. The fallout destroyed Jack and Lee’s marriage, and Lee eventually left Glendale, leaving Jack reeling.
In the aftermath, grappling with his heartbreak and guilt, Jack has turned back to the Anglican Church, seeking the guidance he hasn’t sought since his teenage years.
