BIOGRAPHY: Lee was born and raised in Glendale, where he ran the local bakery, Bake My Day. In 2016, his life changed when he met Jack Campbell at a pub during London Pride. By 2017, with their relationship moving quickly, Jack relocated to the village. They set up home in Bluebell Cottage, got engaged in 2018, and married in 2019. On the surface, their life seemed idyllic, but beneath, tensions simmered. While Jack dreamed of settling down and starting a family, Lee was desperate to cling to his carefree, party-loving lifestyle.
By 2024, the cracks in their marriage began to widen. Jack pushed for surrogacy or adoption, while Lee struggled in secret with a drug addiction. But there were bigger issues in their relationship – Lee had been using Grindr to meet men whilst also having an affair with the married father of three, Tom Spencer. Over time, Lee realised he had fallen in love with Tom. When Jack discovered Lee was cheating, Lee refused to reveal who it was with, and their marriage began to unravel.
The breaking point came during his sister’s engagement party, when Lee suffered an overdose. Rushed to hospital, he survived but inadvertently exposed his affair when he called out Tom’s name upon waking. The fallout was devastating. Tom, overwhelmed by guilt and humiliation, took his own life, leaving Lee wracked with grief. Banned from the funeral and consumed by sorrow, Lee realised he could no longer stay in Glendale. He ended his marriage to Jack, closed down the bakery, and left the village for Manchester.
