BIOGRAPHY: Born and raised in Bradford, Meera is the middle daughter of Samir and Geeta Sharma. Often struggling to garner attention as a child – she wasn’t as smart as older sister Shaheen or as cute as younger sister Neha – Meera went under the radar, charting her own course and being largely out of sight and out of mind.

After school, she studied to become a veterinary nurse and moved about from practice to practice, crisscrossing the country. In 2024, Meera learnt that Neha had been imprisoned for slapping one of her students and attacking her own husband, Ashwin. Meera had always liked Ashwin; he was kind, sweet, and, most importantly of all, he had always noticed her. Following Ashwin’s stroke – and with Neha locked up – Meera offered to help nurse her brother-in-law back to health. She moved into Thyme Cottage to be close to him and soon found a job at Glendale Veterinary Practice working for Dr Charlotte Harrington-Jones.
