BIOGRAPHY: Born in London and raised by a single mother on the Underwood Gardens council estate in Acton, Samantha recognised early in her life that she didn’t want to follow the same path. Fiercely determined to carve out a better life, she excelled academically and graduated with first-class honours in criminal psychology. Sharp, perceptive, and almost unnervingly intuitive, Samantha possesses a sixth sense for reading people and their intentions.

After university, she put her promising career on hold to support her husband, Lewis – a respected trauma doctor – while devoting herself to raising their daughter, Gracie. Despite the detour from her professional path, Samantha has become an exceptional mother, and when she’s not managing the household, she indulges her love of shopping – especially if Burberry has a sale on!

Her world shifted dramatically in December 2023 when she learnt that Ed Atkins – her mother’s high-school boyfriend – was in fact her biological father. Reeling from the news, Samantha sought him out, determined to understand where she came from. The bond they formed was genuine but complicated, especially as Ed struggled to keep the truth from his wife, Marion. Ultimately, Samantha could no longer tolerate living in the shadows and revealed the truth during a visit to Ed’s home in Glendale.

Now settling into life in Glendale, she has been warmly welcomed into the Atkins family by Marion and her newly discovered half-sister, Jasmine. Yet amid this new sense of belonging, Samantha can’t shake the unsettling feeling that something isn’t quite right in her marriage. Lewis insists everything is fine, but with her instinct for reading people, Samantha can’t help wondering what truths may be hiding just beneath the surface.
