BIOGRAPHY: Charismatic and street-savvy with a warm heart and a mischievous streak, Johnny is a devoted family man who believes in family, community and giving everyone a fair crack.

Born and raised in Nottingham, he grew up in the pub trade, and the profession is firmly ingrained in his DNA. The son of seasoned landlords who ran numerous pubs across the city, his childhood was spent playing in cellars and pub gardens, and it was here, at an early age, where he learnt to pull a pint, charm the regulars, and lend an ear to those who needed it.

Johnny met his wife, Tess, at school when they were both 17. He was cheeky and charming and always talking his way out of trouble; she was level-headed, bright, and had little patience for his antics – until, of course, she caught that smile. One grin was all it took. She agreed to go to the cinema to watch Speed, and from that night onwards they’ve been inseparable.

At his core, Johnny is a devoted family man and the kind of guy who’ll joke with you while pouring your pint, then offer a quiet ear if he senses something’s wrong.
