BIOGRAPHY: Kind, friendly, and ruggedly handsome, farmer Ben is one of Glendale’s most loved sons. He has run Glenbrook Farm since 2012, when his father, Brian, stepped back from the historic family enterprise. With sharp business instincts, Ben has strengthened the family legacy, transforming Glenbrook into one of Kent’s leading farming properties. In 2025, he set his sights on expansion and developed a new line of jams, condiments, sauces, and dressings using family recipes that are sold through the newly built Glenbrook Farm Shop, marking the beginning of Glenbrook’s evolution from a traditional farm into a thriving privately held company.

Beneath Ben’s easy smile and cheeky dimples lies a man shaped by hardship. His childhood was overshadowed by his father’s volatile temper – a period he rarely speaks about and would rather forget. In 2016, he met London-born Rebecca Williams during a night out in Maidstone, and a whirlwind romance quickly led to marriage. Their twins, Oliver and Poppy, arrived in 2018, but the relationship soon unravelled under the strain of constant arguments and Rebecca’s struggle to cope with the relentless demands of parenthood. The marriage ended in divorce, leaving Ben to raise their children on his own.

After years marked by frustration, loneliness, and unhealed wounds, 2024 brought an unexpected light when he crossed paths with Emma Blake, Glendale’s new doctor. Their chance meeting sparked a whirlwind romance – one that reminded Ben there was more to life than school lunches, early mornings and muddy fields. But their happiness was shaken following the sudden death of his cousin, Tom Spencer, when Ben discovered Emma had known about Tom’s affair and mental health struggles. The revelation drove Ben into a tailspin, culminating in a regrettable one-night stand with Rebecca, while Emma briefly sought comfort in the arms of her ex-lover, Paul Halifax.

Despite the turmoil, Ben and Emma found their way back to one another. Their reconciliation rebuilt the trust they once shared, and their relationship has grown stronger than ever. Now, with Emma preparing to move into the Glenbrook family home, Ben finally feels at peace and has achieved the happiness he has so greatly longed for.
